Music Mondays: 4Minute Addition

4Minute has made their long comeback. I'm gonna skip their pre-released song Cold Rain and instead talk about their newest title song 'Crazy.' 

Don't get me wrong, I've liked 4Minute since their debut, but lately I have begun the slow decent to hating 4Minute songs... I know I know, that sounds so harsh, but it's so true. 'What's Your Name?' 'Is It Poppin'?' 'Whatcha Doin Today?' besides all the similar ?'s I disliked each one. And now their grand comeback after Hyuna's successful 'Red' run begins. I'm getting a strong case of deja vu as I'm hit with memories of the calm before the storm just like 2NE1's pairing of 'Lonely' and 'I am the Best,' 4Minute has 'Cold Rain' and 'Crazy.' Unfortunately, unlike 2NE1, I hate the crazy 'Crazy.'

My hatred for the song began with the first line, I'm the female monster. At least I think that's what Hyuna is trying to tell me. Anyway, the song is so familiar, nothing new. Trying to be gangsta. And don't tell me this is 4Minute going back to 'Huh' I liked 'Huh' this is not that. Not the same concept, style of song, nothing. Don't lie to yourself. This is 4Minute, as Cube put it, Revamping themselves. 

Sadly the horrible song is paired with such an awesome chrome black and white pop of color cool music video. Love the hats, the outfits, the make-up works, Hyuna is not everywhere I look. Ji-Hyun is my favorite. I wish I could take the old 4Minute, like 'Muzik' or 'I, My, Me, Mine' and and pair those songs with this music video. I love the MV so much but can't appreciate it cause of the awful background music. I mean Cube just thought YG wasn't pumping out enough music so they took an old GD/T.O.P song called it Revamp and are selling it for money. I mean there's totally not enough EDM music out there in the world, so lets make 4Minute do it. I seem to get more and more disappointed with 4Minute as time goes on which really does sadden me. All the "old" groups are changing their style and music to fit a 'trend.' Girl, there was a time you were the trend. Wish I could take a time machine back to when music was better... I hope 4Minute can come out with a better song in the future. Again, this is my own humble opinion and if you don't like my opinion that's perfectly fine we are all free to have one. In no way shape or form am I saying I hate 4Minute, I have just disliked their past few songs. 

Anyway, if you haven't checked out 'Crazy' yet, you can. If you want... I wouldn't want to... Berry Good came out, berry good...

New Years Resolution

2014 may have been the Apocalypse for K-pop, but here's to hoping for 2015. Here are some of my 2015 new year resolutions.

2. Meet my bias (f(x)'s Victoria)

3. Be scouted of just complimented for being pretty

4. Go shopping like there's no tomorrow

5. Watch a Running Man filming

6. Meet a really hot Korean singer. Fall in love and then like lick his abbs or something. and float off into the sunset on a flying rainbow unicorn.
