First off, I love Zico's music so I, as an individual with Asian roots, was not offended by the song. Of course I don't speak Korean, so on first listen I just jam along with the beat. But when taking a close look at the lyrics, they are obviously offensive to some people.
I can understand why some people would feel offended by the song.
What I don't understand is when people say this song is offensive and disses Korean music in general. Like HELLO?
Please, have you listened to some of the shit American artists pass off as music and you call Zico offensive...! Think about that one. International netziens have a right to be pissed off, but in retro speck they shouldn't be enraged because there's worst songs out there on mainstream yet we praise those artists for being hard-hitting. I for one respect that Zico is true to himself 100% of the time. Although he sometimes throws others under the bus, has an unpleasant attitude, and very crude, he's Zico. He can never be someone else, which I think deserves respect. The song is still catchy as hell, however offensive it is. But no matter what words he speaks there's someone out there that will call it genius. I mean, oh my beautiful target. You zoom zoom my heart like a rocket...
